Peace Corp Jeffrey Malcolm trained members in bee keeping during his tenure in The Gambia. This is now established but we need support in expanding the number of hives and developing the bye products
A thriving Football Academy provides exercise and interest for young men and women. They meet five evenings a week and take part in local tournaments. We have been fortunate in the past to acquire and ship kit from KitAid. We always need football boots however! To read more click on the icon

The vehicle
Through the support of Asset we received funding for land for a banana plantation. It functioned for some time However, finding a cost effective way in providing enough water has proved difficult but it has now been identified as an ideal site for developing fish farming and business plans have now been submitted. It will also be planted with the miracle tree, moringa. To read more click on the icon.
Founder Jane Smith raised funds during the Summer of 2015 by creating garments from the beautiful dashiki material. She introduced this skill on the island during early 2016 and will develop it during subsequent visits
Victoria Goodall, our secretary, raised funds for the three women's gardens by completing a sponsored swim across the River Gambia in February 2015. Initially for providing new wells the gardens are now being expanded and fenced. To read more click on the icon
Victoria Goodall, our secretary, acquired sponsorship from Aspar Pharmacuetical company for a pilot project to plant beneficial tress in compounds throughout the island,

Just Act members attended training in waste management and returned with a customised three wheeled motorbike for regular waste collection. Riders for Health supported in maintaining the bike
