Thank you !!!Today is the day!!! The Inter School Football tournament begins!

Every member of the football team playing for Janjanbureh Upper Basic School team is a Just Act Football Academy member. It is their regular daily training enabled by our funding of dedicated coaches and manager that has led to the quality of play and thus winning their place to represent Central River Region. We are immensely proud of them.

We are also hugely grateful and proud of all of you, both Gambian and UK friends who have enabled us to SURPASS our aim of raising £100 to equip the teams with football boots and more! Without your support they would not have been able to play.

Our total as of Monday 27th June with gift aid is £148.75!!!!! Further boots and equipment are being purchased before they begin play later today.

We are keeping the donation page open until 20th July however to enable continued support for the Academy. It is regarded with such importance on the island and we need to encourage in every way.

Our aims are not just to teach and encourage football skills but as follows. the latter two are of huge importance

Our Aim:

to provide training and income earning opportunities for leaders

to provide football training opportunities for male and female youths

to build an identity with Just Act and thus encourage responsibility to their community

to build an increasing source of future leaders in the community

The delight in our support is expressed here from the Vice Principal of the Upper Basic School received last night.
